FGI San Antonio brought the spirit of the Blue Jacket Fashion Show to Texas with an unforgettable viewing party at River North Ice House. Hosted by Christopher Matz, President of Business Professionals of San Antonio, with the invaluable support of Jenevy Sims, the evening was a vibrant celebration of style, philanthropy, and community.
Blue carpet coverage was expertly led by Society with Karen Grace’s media team, Emi McNair and Tamara Shannon, capturing the elegance of the evening—including a special guest appearance by Miss San Antonio, Franci Millan! Additional event coverage was provided by FGI San Antonio board member and She Talks host Jennifer Alejandre Lujan, the Fashion Business Network media team, and Scene In SA’s digital media strategist Bethany Castro, alongside fashion writer and FGI San Antonio board member Jules Aldaz.
Under the leadership of Rosa Isela Romo and the FGI San Antonio board, the event radiated a passion for fashion with purpose, uniting guests in support of a cause that extends beyond the runway. A silent auction was held to raise funds for national nonprofit ZERO Prostate Cancer, reinforcing the evening’s mission of advocacy and awareness.
The evening featured more than just a fashion show viewing, with a dynamic performance by dancer Kosec Daniel and the presence of Univision’s Emmy Award-winning meteorologist Gabriel Torres as FGI San Antonio’s special guest.
Founded in 2016 by fashion designer Frederick Anderson, the Blue Jacket Fashion Show bridges the worlds of fashion, entertainment, sports, healthcare, and media to spark critical conversations about men’s health and prostate cancer—particularly the racial disparities and challenges faced by underserved communities. This year’s Blue Jacket Fashion Show took place at Lavan in New York City, continuing its powerful mission to drive awareness and action.
With 1 in 8 men affected by prostate cancer, this initiative is more than just a fashion statement—it’s a platform for education, dialogue, and change. FGI San Antonio’s event honored that mission beautifully, proving once again that style and social impact go hand in hand.
