New Year, New Wayne’s! Third Location Opens

What better way to start the new year off than with some of the best chicken wings in San Antonio? Wayne’s Wings celebrated the grand opening of their third location over the weekend, located just outside of loop 410 at 7870 Culebra rd.
DJ Citi played music out front while family, friends, and a steady churn of hungry customers packed the cozy establishment, lining up for crispy fried shrimp, savory cheesesteak, and of course, heaping piles of glistening, palate-pleasing chicken wings.
Wayne’s Wings is a San Antonio staple among those who enjoy looking beyond the national wing chains for their saucy delights. Bold flavor combinations like the “Supreme” (bbq, hot sauce, lemon pepper, and cinnamon) and the “Jacob” (sweetened sriracha, lime, and cilantro) harmonize on the tongue, while a comprehensive vegetarian menu underscores that all tastes are welcome to join in.
Owner and operator Dwayne Price has a lot of support throughout the community. “Dwayne deserves everything that he’s getting right now,” affirmed diner and family member Alma Johnson, “and this chicken will make you slap your momma,” she joked, before quickly adding, “But don’t do it though.”
