San Antonio transformed into a vibrant global stage as Suitcase Fashion XP presented its Fall/Winter Fashion Show, blending the worlds of travel, art, and fashion into an unforgettable experience. Hosted by the ever-charismatic Maggie Laughlin from KENS5, the event was a landmark production, conceptualized by visionary Maximiliano Musas, that brought together top-tier designers and marked the debut production of the talented Savannah Harsh.

Maximiliano Musas’ Vision

In an exclusive interview with Scene in SA, Musas shared his driving inspiration: “San Antonio’s tourism and culture. My dream is to make this city a significant mark on the map for top fashion.” With Suitcase Fashion XP, he brought this vision to life, fusing global creativity with the rich cultural heritage of the city.

The creative mastermind behind Suitcase Fashion XP, Maximiliano said it best: “This show is about bringing the world together through fashion, art, and travel, and there’s no better place to do it than San Antonio.” With Savannah Harsh’s seamless production debut, the event set a new standard for fashion in the city, showcasing its potential to host world-class events that rival global fashion capitals.

A Night of Glamour and Creativity

The two-day event began with an intimate kickoff mixer and presentation hosted by Neiman Marcus San Antonio, followed by the main event at BMW San Antonio, where the energy was palpable. Guests adorned in cocktail attire—silver, gold, wine, burgundy, and black—mingled on the red carpet, embodying the elegance and sophistication of the night.

A Celebration of Global Talent

The event wasn’t just about fashion—it was a journey through artistry and culture. Each designer’s collection told a story rooted in their origins, inviting the audience to explore the intersection of travel, art, and style.

Sindashi (San Miguel de Allende, México)

Sindashi’s collection was a breathtaking display of art made into fashion, bringing to life the vibrant culture and colors of Mexico. Each piece felt like a canvas painted with the heart of San Miguel de Allende, from its rich hues to intricate patterns inspired by Mexican folklore. The collection celebrated the country’s deep artistic roots, transforming traditional motifs into contemporary masterpieces. Sindashi’s designs didn’t just adorn the runway; they told a story of heritage, pride, and cultural expression. The audience was captivated by the fusion of wearable art and modern fashion, a testament to Mexico’s timeless influence on the global stage.

Intervención México (Morelia, México)

Intervención México’s collection was a bold and unapologetic fusion of artistry and innovation, showcasing hand-painted and embroidered jackets that stood out as wearable masterpieces. Each jacket told its own story, with intricate embroidery patterns and vibrant hand-painted designs inspired by Mexican culture and contemporary art. The craftsmanship behind every piece celebrated individuality and the beauty of handmade fashion, honoring the traditions of Morelia while pushing the boundaries of what clothing can express. These avant-garde designs transformed the runway into a moving art gallery, leaving the audience in awe of the meticulous detail and creativity woven into each piece.

Caycee Black (New York City)

Caycee Black’s collection closed the show with a radiant burst of joy. Her collection was a personal expression of her artistry.  Each piece reflected her perspective as an artist, blending bold patterns, whimsical designs, and vibrant colors to create wearable art. Her collection wasn’t just about fashion—it was about storytelling through the creative lens.  Her playful patterns and uplifting silhouettes brought a lightness to the finale, celebrating fashion as a universal language that sparks happiness. It was a heartwarming reminder of why fashion is not just about what we wear, but how it makes us feel.
