It’s Giving… Spurs
Blü Prime Steakhouse served as the bustling stage for nonprofit support organization Business Professionals of San Antonio’s monthly networking mixer, whose efforts this month benefited Spurs Give, the official nonprofit of the San Antonio Spurs. Amid amuse bouche, cocktails, and copious amounts of Spurs swag, attendees took the opportunity to engage with one another and try some light bites, all while supporting our boys in black (and white).
Inside of the packed reception area in the back of the restaurant, BPSA president Chris Matz thanked attendees for their presence and generosity, before turning the floor over to partners, who also underscored their relationship with the community. As they finished, Matz looked beyond the audience to introduce the final guest for the evening, pointedly omitting their name. Through the crowd bounded the Spurs Coyote, who was on hand for the presentation of a $500 check from sponsor Mack Law Firm, as well as the subsequent prize raffles and photo crush.
Well after the Coyote left through the back with the check, the venue remained tightly packed with Spurs-loving members of the business community; perhaps not surprising, given the typical fervor you see for the team throughout the city. Spurs Give promotes wellness through sport via multiple programs, youth leagues, and community investments.
