On an October evening at San Antonio’s Hard Rock Cafe, a wildly-captivating drag performance of the Rocky Horror Picture Show took place, featuring a talented ensemble cast. Fans of the cult classic filled the venue, ready for a show that promised a mixture of glam, camp, and horror. The energy in the room was electric as the lights dimmed and the cast made their dramatic entrances, perfectly embodying their iconic characters.
Each performer brought their own flair to the stage. Kirstie (@kirstieleroux) doubled as both Magenta and Riff Raff, delivering a thrilling dual performance, while Ira’s (@thebubblebabe) portrayal of Janet was both vulnerable and fierce. Zach (@zachsalas) as Brad kept the audience laughing and rooting for him, and Naima Jackson’s (@jesseaholton82) high-energy take on Columbia was a showstopper. As Rocky, Ace (@acelevn) commanded the stage, while Anita Verga (@anita_verga_ ) as Frank N Furter was a charismatic tour de force, leaving the audience in awe.
From start to finish, the performance was a mesmerizing creature feature that had the audience fully engaged. The intimate space allowed for fantastic interaction between the cast and audience, with playful moments that felt spontaneous yet polished. As the night came to a close, the energy in the room suggested that no one wanted the show to end, leaving everyone longing for more.
