Fashion for Life at BPSA

In the newly-renovated eatery of Conversa Elevated, located along the Northwestern corridor of I-10 between San Antonio and Boerne, the Business Professionals of San Antonio (BPSA)  held their monthly networking mixer, where many San Antonians and businesses have become participants and members. Every month BPSA raises money and donations for different non-profits within the San Antonio area. This month centered the mission-focused organization Fashion for Life, a non-profit that raises money and awareness about domestic violence and directs funds toward actionable programs that are utilized by domestic abuse victims. Recently Fashion for Life donated over four thousand dollars to the local organization P.E.A.C.E Initiative that provides legal and medical assistance to victims.

To help raise awareness, founder Matthew Smith–who himself is a committed fashion designer–has launched and produced multiple fashion shows over the years that center focus on men and menswear apparel to emphasize the necessity for men to be aware that not only can they be victims, but that they must also be advocates against it. Fashion for Life is currently selling tickets for their Purple Reign Fashion Show scheduled for 7pm on October 19th at the Tobin Center for the Performing Arts. Tickets can be purchased at the link provided  (“ https://www.tobincenter.org/purplereign”) or their instagram @fashionforlifesa.
